In this review, I&#039;ll cover both what I liked most and the aspects that, in my opinion, could still be improved. The first thing that catches your eye is their square shape and striking appearance, which combines retro with futuristic elements. It&#039;s difficult to categorize them into a single style. I&#039;ve probably said it a thousand times, but you know what they say, to each their own. You either love them or hate them. From my point of view, aesthetically speaking, these headphones <strong>They are simply spectacular<\/strong>. As Nothing has said before, it&#039;s not just about the technical quality of their products, but about the experience of wearing them, of having fun while using them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I love wearing them because of their design, and I actually love seeing people&#039;s surprised expressions when they look at them closely. You won&#039;t find anything like them, and while many users might not care, it&#039;s a very important point for me\u2014to stand out, and to do it so well. Their square shape might seem a bit clunky at first glance. But don&#039;t let first impressions fool you; behind those two square earcups lie... <strong>very comfortable oval polyurethane pads<\/strong>. I wear glasses, and after 3 or 4 hours of continuous use, I don&#039;t feel any pain in my ears, nor do I feel the temples of the glasses digging in. I also haven&#039;t found them heavy, even after wearing them for long periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The earcups, which are quite soft and pleasant to the touch, completely cover my ears (and believe me, that&#039;s saying something, I have rather large ears!). Furthermore, the headband feels well-made; it slides smoothly when opening and closing, yet still has the necessary sturdiness. I haven&#039;t felt them bend or feel flimsy at all., <strong>Their construction is noticeably and feels robust.<\/strong>. With temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius, the ear pads and my ears get sweaty in just a few minutes. And while this isn&#039;t a problem unique to these headphones, I don&#039;t find them comfortable for running. The bouncing sound with each stride creates an unpleasant sensation in my ears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From my point of view <strong>These headphones are perfect for use at home, in the office, on public transport, or walking around town.<\/strong>. If you do high-impact exercises or physical activities where you move your head quickly, I think it&#039;s better to opt for another in-ear model or for the <a href=\"https:\/\/nothingtec.com\/en\/2025\/02\/10\/nothing-ear-open-opinion-analisis\/\">Nothing Ear (Open)<\/a>. Yes, I&#039;m very insistent, but it&#039;s because I&#039;m in love with that model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sound quality and equalization options<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First impressions and equalizer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The first few minutes of use were somewhat disappointing. I noticed that some of the treble was poorly defined, and the bass seemed weak and a bit distorted with certain songs. However, all of this changed once I started using the app. <strong>Nothing X<\/strong>. Unless you&#039;re a real audiophile, the basic equalizer will be enough to get the audio just right in under a minute. I&#039;ve created a custom setting that boosts both bass and treble, and the result is a delight for listening to podcasts or almost any kind of instruments<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#039;t consider myself an expert, but I am very particular about the nuances, and these headphones make me enjoy the music. <strong>much more than the Nothing Ear<\/strong>. The Headphones (1) are not intended to be studio headphones, they do not offer neutral audio, but <strong>have character<\/strong> They successfully separate vocals and instruments. They generally reproduce commercial music very well, capturing vocals and nuances satisfactorily. For the general public (myself included), their sound quality is more than sufficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Community Presets<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I also tried a community preset called &quot;SoundGuys&quot; that I absolutely loved. It balances the bass very well without overpowering the vocals, and if you&#039;re not an expert at equalization, you can always search for community presets and try different options until you find your favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nothingtec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/preset-soundguys-nothing-X-analisis-headphone-1.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nothingtec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/preset-soundguys-nothing-X-analisis-headphone-1-1024x512.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Audio power<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the <strong>audio power<\/strong>, Setting the volume between 50% and 75% seems sufficient for walking around my town, which isn&#039;t very noisy. I&#039;ve read that some users find the volume low even at 100%, but personally, I think turning it up all the way can be annoying due to the intensity of the treble. Furthermore, the ear pads provide excellent isolation, so very little sound escapes. It&#039;s by far the best of all the Nothing products I&#039;ve tested. <strong>The ear pads already provide a lot of insulation.<\/strong>, However, with ANC activated, the noise is much more pronounced. For example, with my ceiling fan running at full speed, I could barely hear it without music, only with ANC active. Playing music with ANC on, it was impossible to hear it at all. Another example: with my wife talking on the phone just a few feet away, I could hardly hear her with music playing on the 70% and ANC active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transparency mode<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the transparency mode<strong>a <\/strong>It&#039;s giving me mixed reviews again. Leaving aside, obviously, the Nothing Ear (Open), <strong>The Headphone (1) is the Nothing device with the best representation of this mode<\/strong>. I can hear my surroundings clearly if I&#039;m listening to music at a low or medium volume. All the controls are physical and located on the right earcup. The power button is a slider at the bottom. The most pleasant to use is the <strong>volume wheel<\/strong> call <em>roller<\/em>It&#039;s a delight to quickly adjust the volume with these earbuds, which have a slightly rubbery texture. Having been used to taking several seconds to adjust the volume with the Nothing Ear or Ear (Open), these are pure bliss. They also have a pleasant feel and excellent sound feedback. If I had to find a fault, it&#039;s that you don&#039;t know when you&#039;ve reached the maximum or minimum volume with a sound effect, something I hope Nothing will address in future firmware call quality<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding connectivity, the <strong>dual connection<\/strong> (Listening to audio from your mobile phone and PC simultaneously) works wonderfully. You can switch devices every few minutes and everything always plays perfectly the first time. <strong>Spatial audio with head tracking<\/strong> It&#039;s a very interesting option for immersing yourself in a game or movie. It&#039;s not perfect, but when watching a series on my PC, if I turn my head to the right, the left earcup receives almost all the audio at the expense of the right, making the sound seem to come from the PC, not the headphones.
