Nothing Today has presented its new Phone series (3a), This is an evolution of their mid-range line with advanced features. Based on the acclaimed Phone (2a), these new models incorporate a triple-camera system with optical zoom, a powerful Snapdragon® processor, a brighter and smoother display, and Nothing OS innovations like Essential Space. All of this is wrapped in a refined design that maintains the brand's minimalist and transparent essence.
Design 🎨
Both models, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, feature a more sophisticated look with improved glass back panels, a more symmetrical internal structure, and refined visual details. They also boast IP64 certification for enhanced durability and Nothing's lowest carbon footprint of any smartphone to date, at 51.3 kg of CO2e.
Cameras 📸
The Phone (3a) series incorporates Nothing's most advanced camera system yet. It includes an improved 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle Sony sensor, and, for the first time, optical zoom.
Phone telephoto camera (3a)
The Phone (3a) features a 50MP telephoto camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 50mm equivalent focal length. Its 2x optical zoom ensures high-quality images, while its high resolution allows for lossless zoom up to 4x. With AI enhancement algorithms, it also achieves an ultra zoom of up to 30x.
Phone (3a) Pro periscope camera
The Phone (3a) Pro takes telephoto zoom to another level with a 1/1.95-inch Sony LYTIA 600 sensor, a 70mm equivalent focal length, and an f/2.55 aperture. It features optical image stabilization and 3x optical zoom, ideal for portraits. It also allows for up to 6x lossless zoom and, with AI enhancement algorithms, achieves an ultra zoom of 60x. Additionally, it introduces telephoto macro, with a focus distance of up to 15cm, surpassing the limitations of other periscopes.
Main camera
The iPhone 3a features a 50MP main sensor co-designed with Samsung, optimized with AI for improved clarity and reduced noise. The iPhone 3a Pro takes it a step further, with faster autofocus, a 43% sensor, and enhanced light-gathering capabilities.
Front camera
The Phone (3a) has a 32 MP front camera, while the Phone (3a) Pro goes up to 50 MP with 4K recording and AI stabilization.
Performance ⚡️
The Phone (3a) series is powered by the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 3 processor, which improves performance in gaming and everyday tasks. The CPU is 33% faster than in the Phone (2a), and the GPU offers 11% more graphics power. It is also 92% more efficient in AI processing.
Battery and charging 🔋
Both models feature a 5000 mAh battery with up to two days of battery life. Fast charging has been improved to 50W, achieving a full charge in under 20 minutes. Wireless charging is still not available on these devices.
Screen 📱
The 6.77-inch screen offers Full HD+ resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. In gaming mode, the touch sampling rate reaches 1000Hz. Furthermore, peak brightness now reaches 3000 nits, 131% more than the iPhone (2a).
Nothing OS 💿
He Phone (3a) Series It comes with Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15, featuring improvements in stability, customization, and native apps. The brand promises three years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
Essential Space 🟡
Nothing introduces Essential Space, an AI hub for note-taking and content management. It's accessed via the new "Essential Key," a physical button on the side of the device.
