The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus receives a new update of Nothing OS with version B4.1-260928-1201. This version comes with fixes for an issue that could cause unexpected shutdowns related to third-party application notifications, as well as improvements to the overall system stability.
Beyond these fixes, there are no other notable features in this update. Nothing has also taken the opportunity to include the October 2026 security patch, keeping the device up-to-date and improving the reliability of its software.

During installation, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus may consume more battery power and become warmer than usual. According to Nothing, this is temporary, and both power consumption and performance will return to normal once the process is complete.
The update is being rolled out gradually, so it may take some time to appear on all devices. You can check if it's available by going to Settings > System > System update.
