After a long wait and more than 700 proposals submitted from all over the world, Nothing has finally revealed the winners of its highly anticipated Community Edition Project 2025. A unique initiative that once again demonstrates that the brand not only designs products, but also Build community with an open and innovative mindset.
As in previous editions, the selection process was rigorous. After a phase of voting, interviews, and feasibility assessment, the Nothing teams chose four winning ideas—one for each key category: Hardware, Accessories, Software and Marketing Campaign—And the truth is, Each project has its own personality, But they all share something fundamental: They fit perfectly with Nothing's DNA.
Translucent Memories: a nod to the past for the Phone (3a)
Industrial designer Emre Kayganacı has conquered the hardware category with his proposal «"Translucent Memories"», a special edition for the future Phone (3a). Inspired by the colorful and translucent gadgets of the 90s, this design focuses on a casing that reveals the device's interior with a nostalgic and vibrant touch.

What's most interesting is how this design reinterprets retro aesthetics without losing current sophistication. The proposal was well received by the jury not only for its conceptual soundness, but also because It is technically feasible And it aligns perfectly with the brand's visual language. For many (myself included), this is the edition that many Nothing fans will want to get their hands on.
Dice (x6): Playful minimalism in the form of an accessory
The accessories category has been for Louis Aymonod and Ambrogio Tacconi, from the Reveland studio. Their proposal, «"Says (x6)"», part of an idea as simple as it is brilliant: dice designed with Nothing's signature visual and material touch.

It may seem trivial, but this proposal actually conveys a value that we sometimes forget: Analog can be just as satisfying as digital.. Dice have a tactile, aesthetic, and emotional component that connects with the more playful side of technology. Furthermore, their open design allows for experimentation with materials, finishes, and functions. A total success for lovers of physical design.
Variable Watch Face: Typography that makes a difference
In software, the Lebanese designer Jad Zock has proposed a very particular but powerful concept: a watch with variable typography which dynamically changes the thickness and width of the numbers according to the time, helping to better visually memorize time.

This approach, based on visual hierarchies, is as original as it is functional. If Nothing manages to implement it well, it could be the first step to applying dynamic typography to other elements of the operating system, Adding personality to functions that usually go unnoticed. I think it's one of those small ideas with a lot of potential.
Made Together: a realistic, human, and very Nothing campaign
Finally, in marketing, the Indian designer Sushruta Sarkar has won the award with the campaign «"Made Together"», A tribute to the creative chaos that arises in any real collaborative process. Instead of presenting a perfect image, their proposal is based on visually represent digital clutter (loose files, sketches, voice notes…) with a clean but honest design.

What I like most is that This campaign is the glue that binds the other categories together.. It celebrates the collaborative spirit, but without sugarcoating it. It's a sincere portrait of how things are created today: remotely, between screens, but with a shared passion.
The real adventure begins.
Throughout this summer, the winners will work hand in hand with the Nothing team to turn their ideas into real products before the end of 2025. As always, some details may change during the process, but that is precisely the magic of co-creation.
And yes, Nothing has confirmed that They will be sharing updates, exclusive content, and the occasional sneak peek.. So if you like design, technology with soul, and being part of something different, Stay tuned for what's coming.

From NothingTec I also participated, Unfortunately, my idea wasn't chosen. I'll keep trying! 🙂 From here, I just want to congratulate the winners and everyone who participated. Because in Nothing, every idea counts..
